Paging can be used in environments such as an office, a warehouse, a production area, or even outdoors. Paging is usually used for overhead announcements. It can also be used for background music. A typical paging system consists of a head end unit, an amplifier, and speakers.

Two types of paging:

  • Office Paging
  • Warehouse Paging

Office Paging:

Paging is often placed in an office environment for announcing an employee has a phone call or that an employee is needed in a certain area. The Paging system also controls background music. In a large office environment zone paging is often required. Zone paging can be utilized in several ways. Departments, floors, or buildings can designate zones. An office having one system that combines both Paging and Background Music is a cost-effective solution.

Warehouse Paging:

Because warehouses are usually louder than the office area, speaker horns are usually used. Warehouses are usually in a zone separate from the office so warehouse pages do not interfere with office work. At the same time, an all-call can be performed so both areas hear the page.
