Shareco Communications was established in 1976 as an organization to install and maintain the inside and outside plant fiber optic and copper, physical layer cabling infrastructure and associated active electronic systems including: telephone, computer, sound reinforcement, LAN, WAN and video distribution systems.

In 1991 Allied Electric, a major Electrical Contractor in the Western Michigan area, purchased Shareco establishing it as it’s communications division, creating a full service electrical company for projects throughout the Midwest region. As a consequence of this relationship, Shareco can also accomplish any necessary electrical work.
